Martha's father was Brannick Riggs, born on 10 July 1828 in Marion County, Alabama. He died at his home, the Riggs Home Ranch in the Riggs Settlement, Cochise County, Arizona on 04 July 1907 at age 78 years 11 months 25 days and is buried in the Riggs Family Cemetery.

Martha's mother was Mary Elizabeth (Robbins) Riggs, born on 27 July 1838 in Franklin (near Nashville), Williamson County, Tennessee. She died at her home, the Riggs Home Ranch in the Riggs Settlement, Cochise County, Arizona on 05 February 1935 at age 96 years 6 months 9 days and is buried in the Riggs Family Cemetery.

Brannick and Mary were married on 10 July 1856 in Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas and had eleven children. MARTHA was their fourth child, second daughter.

MARTHA and T.B. or UNCLE BELL were married on 20 December 1886 at the Riggs Home Ranch, Cochise County, Arizona. They had no children.

UNCLE BELL was born on 07 October 1856 in Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas. He died in Cochise County, Arizona on 16 August 1926 at age 69 years 10 months 9 days and is buried in the Riggs Family Cemetery.
